Low-grade foolish people with a low mentality made stories

about me saying that my dress is transparent

Tele-actress Ruwangi Ratnayaka who became the topic of conversation across the internet after she participated at a party on Derana Channel

recently, implying that the dress she wore on that occasion which exposed her bust incited sexual feelings and she has now spoken about the Deep Plunge fashion which became the cause for this hullabaloo.

Though nobody as such made any comment till she wore that dress and came back home after that party, she says that once photographs began appearing in the internet she mentions that a crowd of uneducated people suffering from a low mentality have been saying bad things about her and that she had ignored those things. She mentions these things now in a rage.

Giving an interview to Rivira newspaper she had commented on it as follows:

* Aren't you getting a little bit of a different response to the new dress?

  I didn't think that that frock would be subjected to such a big dialogue. A lot of people said that it was beautiful. I of course don't think that there is a drawback in that dress for people to talk in a bad way like that. It's people who have nothing to do who keep finding fault like that. Even on Facebook some had made dirty remarks. But I have not taken those into consideration.

* Ruwanthi .... from where did you find this fashion?

  I selected it after browsing an English web site. It was my seamstress who did it up the way I instructed her.

* The responses received from those who attended the ceremony that day?

  I wore that dress and went to a crowd who were well informed. No one commented badly and said that the dress was no good or came to ask 'what is this dress that you have worn?'. If such a thing was asked ... I would have thought about it. But then why should I worry about things told by people whom I had never seen or whom I had not known?

* Then what is the reply you Ruwanthi would give to the stories talked about about web sites on Facebook?

  I listen to what is said only by those whom I accept and respect. Other than that I don't worry about stories which foolish  people with a low mentality say. Can think if someone with some understanding makes a comment. The other thing is I am not on the Facebook. Only when my friends called me and told me that I came to know about this that there are various things on Facebook about my dress. Even you'll won't ask them about this no. I am being asked because I am popular no.
