IS terrorists accept responsibility of ....

destruction of Russian Passenger Airliner which brought death to 24 people

The IS rebels have accepted responsibility this

evening by issueing an announcement for the IS terrorist attack on the Russian passenger airliner which crashed this afternoon in Sinai area in Egypt.

This accident took place this morning around 7.15 Egyptian time when this airliner was flying at an altitude of 31000 in the hill country of Sinai. It had been flying from a tourist resort of Sham Al Sheik in Egyptian coastal area to the town of St. Petersburg in Russia. The said passenger airliner belonging to the type A 321 is identified as KGL 9268 belonging to the Russian Airways Koglamevia. It was said that the aircraft lost contact all of a sudden with the airport just about 25 minutes after having left for Russia.

The Russian media had reported this afternoon that the aircraft met its fate due to a technical fault and had not detected that it was a terrorist attack. The pilot of the plane had informed about a technical fault and had requested permission to divert the route which he had mentioned to the control room and while this was being said the communication has begun to weaken and contact had got disconnected.

While parts of burnt pieces of the aircraft had fallen to one side of Sinai hillside, the rescue operators who approached the location say that they were not in a position to save any life of the victims. As a consequence of this debacle 220 Russians, 3 Ukrainians and 1 Egyptian had lost their lives. Among the dead there had been 17 small children, it was said.

Investigation teams were able to find the Black Box of the aircraft during evening hours and based on investigations carried out on it, it would be possible to ascertain what really had taken place. On the other hand this tragic incident has put the Russian leader Vladimir Putin into a state of shock and he had taken measures to call for special meetings on a number of occasions and to address the public as well. The 1st of next month has been declared a Day of Mourning. Putin had earlier mentioned that Russia would be taking war-action against IS rebels. One wonders whether this is a counter reply to it.

The responsibility of this attack has been taken by IS terrorists across a message delivered via their official web site Twitter. What was mentioned there was the following statement: "The fighters of the Islamic State were able to down a Russian plane over Sinai province that was carrying over 220 Russian crusaders. They were killed, thanks be to God".
