The senior superintendent of police Rienzie Chandralal Perera who had served as the introductory

Police media spokesman and as the Director the Police public relations division for a continuous period of over 09 years has passed away. This news of his death has been reported by the present Police media unit.

It is reported by the Police media unit that former SSP Rienzie Perera had passed away on the 24th instant.

Late Rienzie Perera had joined the Police service as a sub inspector of Police in the year 1972.In the year 1987 he had been promoted to the grade of Assistant Superintendent of Police.In the year 2007 he had been appointed as the acting Deputy Inspector General of the Eastern province.Late Rienzie Perera had retired from the Police service in the year 2008.

His final rites is to be conducted tomorrow the 26th instant at the general cemetery Borella Kanatte.
