It was Janson Yu and Lyan Huboth who had obtained permission from the Afghan Government and the UNESCO for this project. It is a difficult task to rejuvenate the Bamiyan Buddhist statues to its pristine and beautiful state for the satisfaction of Buddhist devotees and therefore they had made an effort to give the impression of 3D Buddhist statues by directing 3D light rays towards it as a measure of temporary solution.
Photos and videos seen here display that effort. Prior to this, in the year 2005 Japanese national, Hiro Yamagata had made use of bringing them to life with the aid of laser technology.
