With the announcing of the next general election blind to have ‘Braille’, crippled to be given transport - EC

The elections commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya had

disclosed that in the forthcoming general election the provision would be made for the blind to allow using the ‘Braille’ system and provision to allow transport for the handicapped persons.

This was added by the elections commissioner while participating in a press briefing today. He also emphasised that the assistance from the United Nations development fund.

For the first time the provision for transport facilities inside the polling premises would be made available for the handicapped voters is planned was said by the elections commissioner.
