“I never snatched necklaces from women train travellers” - Rohitha

The other day the deputy minister Ranjan Ramanayake while participating in a certain political television had

alleged that Former minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena had snatched gold necklaces from female passengers travelling in trains. This allegation had been totally squashed by the former minister who had quipped that it was purely for the sake of slinging mud at him and that he would be taking legal action for the defamatory statement made.This was added by the former minister at Kalutara.

When the deputy minister Ranjan Ramanayake arrived at a television programme he had said that as former minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena was participating he had removed his gold chain and come. Now he said he has confidence that such a thing would not happen. However he had said that he came having some fear as he was sporting one more gold chain.

This is because the former minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena has had a proven past record of snatching gold chains from ladies travelling in trains was added by Ranjan Ramanayake

Former minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena’s reply to this drastic incident of slinging mud had said that in his political career he had never made false defamatory statements and defamed the character of any person. But Ranjan Ramanayake did so in the television programme by slinging mud and defaming his character. He said he would not hesitate to file legal action against Ranjan Ramanayake.
