Sri Lanka tourists to be stamped instant Visas on arrival at airports in India

A new procedure has commenced in several India airports to issue and stamp visas for all tourists

upon arrival. This procedure has begun from the 14th instant.

The names of these airports have been named as Delhi,Mumbai,Calcutta,Chennai, Hyderabad Thiriwantha puram,Kochchi , Bangalore and Goa.The visa so granted is valid for 30 days.It is learnt that Sri Lanka is the  44th country in the world this privilege has been offered to tourists in this manner.

However those pilgrims who enter via India into Nepal to worship ‘Lumbini’ would not be allowed to enter India again with the same visa.
