Those who own electric cars would have enough and more stations to fill the electric cars with gas
and electricity before the Sinhala New Year was added by the Minister of power and energy Patali Champika Ranawaka yesterday the 31st instant.

He had also quipped that the transport industry as a whole up to nearly 100 % depends entirely on crude oil imported from abroad. The sole intention of the Minister is to reduce the consumption of petrol and diesel to a great interest by encouraging the use of electric cars powered by energy. He also had emphasised that in the present context there is a threat to energy which is not used extensively in Sri Lanka and hence it is in danger.

The Minister’s intention is to define the country as a ‘super power’ country and a ten year planned programme is to be implemented in this regard. In elaborating on this emphasis Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka had spoken at a ceremony held at ‘Water’s Edge’ Battaramulla.
