Champika opts in defeating 19th amendment as his horoscope speculates him to become a future President

Gamini Viyangoda, convener of the ‘Purawasi Balaya’ has quipped that the General Secretary of

the Jathika Hela Urumaya, Minister of power and energy Patali Champika Ranawaka is interested in opposing strongly to the proposed amendments to the 19th constitution of the parliament as astrologers have speculated that according to his horoscope he is to be president of the country in the year 2020.

He had added that in the context of a country with separatist intentions, the present President’s system is an ideal platform which he favours very much is Champika’s argument. The rumour that is spread as that the war was won because of the presidential status. This he says is only a number one myth

To become president in the year 2020 in mind this statement had been made that to eliminate those dangerous signs in the constitution the only person was himself. When the 17 amendment to the constitution was brought in the only Member who opposed to it was also Patali Champika Ranawaka.But today he is preaching ‘bana’.
