Gotabhaya and Somathilake banned from leaving the country, after Avant -Garde case

The case filed by the Criminal Investigation department against the activities of the Avante

Guard private security Company at the magistrates courts in Galle was called up for hearing yesterday in Galle once the submissions made were perused.

From the submissions made the Magistrate has ordered the police to make necessary arrangements to ban former defence secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and the former Commander of the Navy Somathillake Dissanayake from travelling overseas by impounding their passports until the case against Avante Guard private security Company is completed.

The Magistrate has also made the same ban from leaving the country on two directors of this private security Company namely of Major General K.B. Egodawela and that of Kithsiri Mangala Kumara.These details of the case were confirmed by the acting media spokesman of the Police  ASP Ruwan Gunasekara.
