An incident of a case where a person had most brutally murdered his wife's father was reported from Ginigathhena last night.
The deceased in this incident is one Lokuhewage Kuladasa (57) from Ranjurawa area in Ginigathhena, a father of 4 children. He has been assaulted with a sharp instrument over a family issue, around 7.30 last night.
It was learned that the person who committed the murder was a deserter from the Army. After the murder he had fled and the police who went into immediate action by launching an investigation were able to take him into custody.
The suspect who had got married to the youngest daughter of the deceased and information has been received that he is in possession of weapons too.
The magisterial inquiry into this murder was expected to be held today.
