The Chinese millionaire killed by Chinese was a powerful figure in the computer crime network

Investigations have revealed that an international mafia gang is behind the incident where a Chinese national named Hao Pon, who is both the head of an international computer crime network and a billionaire, was abducted from Colombo Port City and brutally murdered in the Karandana forest in Eheliyagoda. Information has been revealed that a severe dispute over billions of rupees earned through computer crimes was the immediate cause of this inhumane murder.

About twenty Chinese nationals are involved in this crime, and on the day of the incident, two Chinese nationals, posing as friends, lured the victim billionaire to a bridge in Port City. While they were fishing together, an organized Chinese gang abducted him. Thereafter, he was taken to a dense forest in the Karandana area of Eheliyagoda, where his hands and feet were tied, he was brutally tortured, hacked to death, and his body was covered with stones before the perpetrators fled.

The day after the murder, police officers engaged in a drug raid in the Karandana area observed a human hand protruding from a pile of stones, and subsequent investigations confirmed it to be the body of the missing Chinese national. Immediately, the police launched an investigation, identifying suspects connected to the incident.

Two individuals connected to this organized murder have currently been taken into police custody, and steps have been taken to obtain a travel ban to prevent other suspects from fleeing the country. The Colombo Crimes Division and Eheliyagoda Police are jointly conducting further investigations, and the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka has issued a statement requesting an immediate, accurate, and swift investigation into this incident, ensuring that no injustice or harassment is caused to innocent Chinese nationals.
