Eheliyagoda three-wheeler accident which killed a person

An accident which resulted in Eheliyagoda Town caused the death of one person while a woman sustained injury.

A three-wheeler which came at high speed knocked against the body of an aged person who happened to
be crossing the road while it had in the process caused another three-wheeler topple and a woman who was about to cross the road when trying to evade this moving three-wheeler had fallen into a nearby pit near the road and sustained injury.

This accident took place as these two victims had tried to cross the road from the place the previous spot where the yellow lines were which incidentally had been erased.

Pathiranage Wieyratna, the elderly person living in Eheliyagoda area who tried to cross the road in this case was the person who succumbed to his injuries. The police arrested the driver of the three-wheeler.
