A combat has taken place yesterday (5) at a public location between business tycoon Australian James Packer who is fingers crossed to start a casino in Sri Lanka and David Gyngell, CEO of Australian Channel 9 Media Network. The two of them who are supposed to be friends for a period of 35 years had engaged in a fight over some issue and had got involved in this fisticuffs what appeared as if they were involved in a wrestling tournament.
This incident had taken place on the road close to a location known as Thomas Michelle Drive, presumed to be where James Packer's home stood.
As understood, Packer had lost his temper after receiving an anonymous phone call after which he had gone into a fight with his friend.
While it was reported that both of them were after liquor on this occasion, an eye witness had told the media that the two of them had been assaulting each other like mad dogs in a fit of frenzy.
A photographer who captured this scene of fighting in a public place in a harmful manner by 2 people who had carved a name in society had informed the Australian websites that he would release that photo to the newspapers the following day. It was further learned that a large number of phone calls were received by the person who took these photos requesting for the photos of the two millionaires engaged in fisticuffs and that the Australian media are involved in a big competition in buying the photos.Ultimately, the photos came into the possession of the Corp Media Network and they had paid a large sum of money for those photos.
Both James Packer and David Gyngell had released a media announcement about the incident and had mentioned that it was just a simple conflict between the two of them and that their friendship was not harmed by the incident.
