Obscene remarks and flinging bat on the face ....
on IPL cricket grounds
What Late exponent of cricket commentary Tony Greig and Arjuna Ranatunge of Sri Lanka said sometime ago was that the game of cricket which is considered a gentleman's game would lose its dignity and would come to a decline because of the IPL Tournament-culture which has become a gamble in India.
Confirming this statement, 2 players yesterday (6) behaved in a disgraceful manner in a game in the IPL Tournament.
this took place in the match between the two teams Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers and the two players who were involved was West Indian player Kiran Pollard while the other was Australian player Mitchell Stark.
When the two of them were reprimanding each other in anger and when Mitchell happened to send a wide ball, Pollard foolishly threw flung his bat and so expressed his displeasure in protest, giving the picture of 2 brats fighting each other.
Though the umpires and the 2 captains mediated on the occasion and settled the misunderstanding, critics looked down upon this incident as a 'disgraceful incident'.
It was understood that the eye of the Match Referee had been focused on the scene and that both players would have to face due punishment in the future.
