Tele-actress Anarkali and Nadeesha who lost the Provincial Council elections this time spoke their ideas to the media about their defeat.


This is what Anarkali said about her defeat: "I don't think I was defeated. I exerted myself a lot and won the hearts of the people. In the same way I also hope to take Women's representation to the parliament .... and be a pride to Matara".

This is what Nadeesha had to say about her defeat: "Ammo .... don't talk. See it has been publicized that I had gone to the counting centre and had turned back and come home because I had no preferential votes. I didn't even sight the place. So see .... what has been told ... like as if I had lost the election and gone. Is it an easy task to get 11000 votes?"
