hospital. However, after recovering from the shock, he has by now left the hospital.
A rumour spread around that the Minister was involved with attractive and popular media representative from Pakistan, Mehar Tharar over the private website Twitter which finally resulted in the issue related to the rumour going beyond limits and this suspicion was the cause of this issue to flare up,India media reported.
Sunandar Pushkar was a name well-known across the media of that country and in addition she was also popularly known as a social worker. The Minister who entered into a rather late marriage had got married in the year 2010. He is now 52 years old while his wife Sunanda is 7 years younger to him and happens to be 45 years old. The couple does not have children of their own. Both parties have been divorced from two previous marriages. During the past, reports of the involvement of the Minister with the Pakistani media person was flashed across the Indian media. Having come to know about this, the deceased had tried to settle this issue with the Pakistan woman concerned through the telephone and e-mail. However, the Pakistan national denies any such connection and that it was only a story coined up by Twitter. It is later reported that there were conflicts between the Minister and his wife about this illicit alliance.
What the Minister said was that the Twitter messages were sent by an individual who had been using her identity in the form of a hacker and not by the genuine media representative.
In the process, the Minister and his wife had found lodging last week on Thursday at the five star hotel by the name of Leelawathi Palace in New Delhi because their house was being rennovated at that time. They had been staying in room number 345 on the third floor of the hotel and from time to time the Minister had been going out on official duties. The CCTV cameras of the hotel confirm that at about 3.30 in the afternoon on Friday, the second day of lodging at the hotel, the Minister's wife had been roaming in the lobby area downstairs. Later, she is supposed to have gone back to her room at approximately 7.30 in the night. When the Minister returned in the night to the hotel after finishing his official duties, he found the room locked from inside and he then proceeded to open the door of the room by using a duplicate key that was available. At that moment everybody was shocked to find the Minister's wife fallen dead inside the room. Though it was revealed that there were wounds on various parts of her body, it was said that there were no signs to confirm that she had committed suicide by taking poison. Whatever it is, since the medical report has still not been received, the manner in which the death has occured cannot still be ascertained. However, the coroners have said that this is not a case of natural death and that there are signs that this is a case of suicide. They withheld further information to the media until the investigations are fully concluded.
A few hours after the death of his wife came to be known, the Minister was seriously inconvenienced and had displayed signs of a heart attack; but had recovered after a short while, Indian media say.
In the meantime, the police are by now investigating the CCTV records of the hotel. In the process, the Indian police IT unit is collecting information to check if there is any link between the illicit affair uproar of last week and the death of the Minister's wife. What has been revealed from their inquiries is that the deceased had mentioned, "a hacker had come in the midst of both of us ... she is destroying our family ... she is a secret agent. My husband had got caught to her". It had been sent by her as a Twitter message for the final time last Thursday.
The Indian police are conducting further investigations in connection with this sudden death. It is reported from India that the final rites of the deceased Sunandar Pushkar is to be conducted this evening,Saturday
