Oshadhi Hewamadduma to enter politics

It is understood that tele-drama actress Oshadhi Hewamadduma is to contest as a nominee for the United National Freedom Alliance at the forthcoming provincial council elections from the Colombo District.

GossipLanka contacted her today (Jan 17) and on that occasion she admitted that the rumour that she had received an invitation about 2 days ago from the government to contest the forthcoming elections is true. She said that she should consider the invitation as to whether she accepts it or not and would inform about it in the future and that she had accepted it ... but still is in two minds. 

She further said that she would announce her decision two days before handing over her nominations.     

Oshadhi who is known as a tele-drama actress andhas been conducting rupavahini programmes in recent times was also in charge of a publishing firm.
