Pasyala accident from CCTV video
Two buses had collided on Friday (Jan 17) evening in Pasyala area, Nittambuwa. As a result of this accident, 1 person has died and 67 others injured, it was reported. The accident has taken place because a private bus that had been travelling from Colombo to Maduru Oya had collided head on with an SLTB bus which was on its way to Colombo from Bibile.
The driver of the bus concerned had not been patient enough to bear the traffic congestion of buses in front of the lane meant for private buses and had turned his vehicle to the right, thus trying to overtake the other traffic unaware that another oncoming bus was heading towards him.
The negligence of the driver's conduct had been recorded on a CCTV camera fixed on a nearby factory.
