Nadeesha Hemamali to contest .... from the UNP for the SouthPopular tele-actress Nadeesha Hemamali is expected to contest the Southern Provincial Council on the UNP ticket.
The website of the General Secretary of the United National Party, Mr. Tissa Attanayaka confirmed that she had met him and obtained the membership this morning (Dec 19) by filling in the form for election nominations and handing it over to the nominations board of the UNP.
Nadeesha Hemamali whose motherplace is Ambalangoda, Galle is reported to contest on the UNP ticket for the forthcoming South Provincial Council elections.
It is also reported that Nadeesha is expected to make a speech at an occasion in which Gampaha district member of parliament Mr. Ruwan Wijayawardena is to preside.
