The clash of sons of VIP’s at Pasikuda :Daham and his 9 friends are Law students:

The incident where the Daham, son of Maithripala Sirisena, the Minister of Health had assaulted the son of the DIG Eastern Province was reported earlier. The manner Asela was assaulted was related by the latter from his Ambulance bed in a private hospital in this manner:
“On that Sunday evening I was with wife and her friend and her husband were on the sea shore of PasiKuda I noticed that there about 15 persons who were drunk in the vicinity. One of them I saw removing his bathing trunk and turning to the side where my wife was standing and a colleague took his photographs. It was a very unethical thing to do. When I saw this happen I told them very politely that this was not nice as it was my wife who was behind. If photographs were taken please delete them. At that time they started to assault me. I have undergone a
surgery to my hand and I cannot move my hand properly. I was in such a situation. I had no intention of fighting at that place. I also had no intention of making the situation worse. When I received two or three blows I fell down .I cannot really recollect the incident. Then they assaulted me with hands and their legs. I was unaware whether I was assaulted with any objects as well.”In this connection the son of Minister Maithripala Sirisena and 13 others have been taken into custody on the same evening and released early morning on the following day. They have ordered to be present at the Magistrate courts in Valachchanai on the 4th of March. The police is supposed to submit a report in this connection.
It is learnt that Daham Sirisena is 21 years old is a student of the Law College and 9 of his 13 other friends are also his colleagues at Law College. It is learnt that Asela Waidyalankara, the son of DIG had lodged a complaint in the Police that he was threatened, while Daham Sirisena has also made an entry in the police station.
All of them will have to present at the Magistrates Courts in Valachchanai on the 4th of March.
