The cut odd marks for entry into popular schools admission ranks disclosed:
Royal College, Visakha Vidyalaya 183, Ananda, Dharmaraja, Mahamaya 179,Horana Thakshila 170
The Ministry of Education announced yesterday the 7th the cut off marks (Sinhala Medium) for gaining entrance to popular school for students who had passed the Grade 5 examination with high marks. Accordingly Royal College, Ananda College and Dharmaraja College required the maximum marks to gain admission to boy’s schools. Among the girl’s schools Visakha Vidyalaya, Mahamaya Balika Vidyalya required highest marks for eligibility to get admission. Among mixed schools Thakshila, Dharmapala and Wyamba Royal College needed higher marks to gain admission after passing the Grade 5 scholarship examination to gain admission to popular schools.
