MERVYN’S ‘PUHUL HORA’ THEORY

When Minister Mervin Silva’s goons were caught as suspects, he had confessed that he will not adopt to tactics like “ Puhul Hora Karen dene”

It is reported that the kelaniya Pradeshiya Sabha Member Hasitha Madawala had been having conflicts with Minister Mervin Silva. Sometime back the deceased member of kelaniya Pradeshiya Sabha had worked as the Minister Mervin Silva’s co-ordinating secretary before falling out. But lately he had had worked against him.
There is a huge doubt that the Minister has had a hand in this murder, as had been disobedient to him. This was disclosed openly by many members of the Kelaniya Pradeshiya Sabha.
Today (the 8th) so soon the CiD has been able to arrest 5 suspects in regard to this murder. They are all reported to be Mervin’s goons. The CID have been able to seize two fire arms, a motor cycle, a person possessing a three wheeler who had guided the operation as a spy used for the killing. In addition the CiD had been able to find a m.m 9 fire Arm, a TAT type fire arm also. A master ‘crook’ suspect’ had been nabbed at the Bandaranike Katunayake International Airport trying to flee to Singapore.
Among the suspects had been a father, his son, and an uncle and the main suspect Sarath Edirsinghe ‘Alias’ Singapore Sarath who is a wine stores owner from the kiribathgoda area. All these suspects have been arrested when investigations were carried under the supervision of an efficient Assistant Superintendent of Police CID.
In the meantime the Minister Mervin Silva had confessed to the media that he will not adopt methods like this according to the famous Sinhala saying” Puhul Hora Karen dene”( that is if a person who robs the puhul  fruit and carries it on his shoulders the powder which covers the fruit would be visible on ones shoulders and he would be caught as the suspect) he had confessed like this....
“To catch the murderers there is a strong police unit in the country. I am a person who is dead against murders. If any dog talks against me I do not care a bit. I will help to apprehend the murders. At the end the truth would be revealed. To find the suspects the police are there. In this country if a Ministry is formed to probe into murders kindly appoint me as the Minister. I will help to apprehend the murderers”.
