Dogs gifted free at Ward Place

Yesterday at a place along Ward Place at an unusual ‘dansela’ of dogs of various ages were gifted to dog lovers. These dogs had been collected from the road where some good stray dogs had been loitering. The ‘dog dansela’ had collected dogs without owners. There were many bids for the dog lovers and as much as 950 dogs were donated free to enthusiastic dog lovers.
Owing to the tremendous enthusiasm shown the organisers hope to arrange this ‘dog dansela’ on the last Sunday of each month at this particular place at Ward Place. Various good comments were made by the recipients of the dogs at the ‘dog dansela’.
“ This particular dog was sitting harmlessly at a distant caught my eye. I snatched him, by requesting for him and named him “snowy”.
A young girl who loves dogs requested a dog of her choice and told I will buy all vitamins, food and soap etc. and  will look after the dog well”.
“ A gentleman who was the recipient of a dog named him “stumpy” as he possessed a short tale.”
Another young girl said “  I will present the dog to a friend as a birthday present”.
