Kisara along with his parents appear in a TV commercial
There were two students who scored the highest identical marks in the Grade five Scholarship Exam this year. Last month we heard the story Kisara from Galle who scored the highest marks for the Grade 5 Scholarship Exam but he had offered his prize offered by the OBA to the other student Anjali from Kandy who scored the same marks. Kisara had of course had been very charitable in donating his prize to Anjali.
Many web sites had praised Kodithuwakku family from Galle who are in the medical profession for their charitable and compassionate qualities.
Yet it was surprising for all who watched TV and saw the commercial in which Kisara and his doctor parents who were featuring for a particular supplement of a popular newspaper which is printed especially for Scholarship Examinations.
As we have known and as we have been made to understand Kisara had been clever at studies from his young age. His parents have not told the media that their son passed the scholarship exam scoring highest marks due to this supplement they bought him. Even thought it had been true, it is really questionable as to why they have featured themselves in a commercial if they are not stingy for money.
