“The owner of the brothel missing at courts’:
The raiding of a brothel by the police owned by a renowned actor located in a two storeyed building at Fife road Narahenpita was reported the day before yesterday. It was owned by a renowned actor whose name was not disclosed.
When the case was taken up for hearing in the courts the name of this actor was not mentioned in any documents and in the ‘B’ report pertaining to the court case.
The Magistrate had confessed that the owner, the suspect may have disappeared somewhere.When the case was taken up today it revealed that the business of the brothel had been carried out at premises No 49/3 at Fife road, Narahenpita under the pretext of herbal treatment centre and a SPA. It was revealed that the two Taiwan nationals prostitutes and two others who were present at the moment of raiding were produced before courts.
The names of Taiwan Nationals were mentioned as Dippada Chammi and Hambonan Ruckshane, The Manager was one Sohan Manoj and his assistant was Sarath Weerasinghe were present in courts. The latter two had admitted that they had carried out the activities of the brothel and one had to pay a sum of Rs 4500/- as entrance fee and thereafter a sum of Rs 5000/- and above had to be paid as professional fees of the Taiwan prostitutes.
According to Police records the owner of the brothel is one Madura Priyantha Gunatillake and they are on the lookout for his arrest. The Additional Magistrate Nishantha Pieris had ordered the above persons to be arrested until the 3rd of next month. He also had ordered that the Taiwan prostitutes be checked for ‘Aids’ tests. As the name of the renowned actor had not been mentioned in the ‘B’ report he did not touch on it and inquired about him.
The Actors involvement was published in our web site yesterday. But the same story was carried in a number of newspapers today ‘Lakbima’ and ‘Rivira’ about his involvement in this brothel house.
