KIDNAPPERS AT KALELIYA ASTROLOGICAL HOME

The suspects had entered the house and stayed hidden at Astrological house nabbed;

About approximately a month back at a place where a Mother and Daughter had been conducting astrological work who had wanted the release of the daughter, it is reported to have been nabbed.
The entire story represents like a Tele drama episode. The kidnappers who had come with the intention of robbing a large sum of money had been able to find only a sum of Rs one lack in their possession at that time. This was for them only a meagre sum. They had then decided to lock up the Mother and Daughter in a room.
The kidnappers have scrutinised the bank pass books of the mother and daughter. They had found a sum of Rs 24 lacks in the pass book maintained at state bank in Mirigama in the mother’s name.
The Mother is 65 years old and the daughter only 22 years old. The father had passed away sometime back and the Mother and Daughter had been carrying on this astrological business for their livelihood.
The plan had been masterminded by a notorious person by the name of Sandaruwan who is incidentally a person from Mirigama. It is reliably learnt that he had visited this Astrological house at Kaleliya several times to obtain first hand information.
On the 19th of last month he and the kidnappers had come in a three wheeler fully armed around 5.30 p.m. They had locked up the Mother and Daughter inside a room in their house. In the meantime the kidnappers had gone to town and brought bottles of liquor and eatables and had consumed them within the astrological house.
On the following day around 4.30 a.m. the kidnappers had taken the Daughter to a jungle in the Pelmada area in Mirigama itself and gone to the extent of even raping her and not allowing her to escape.
The following day they had told the Mother to go to the state bank she maintained her account to withdraw and bring Rs 20 lacks. In the meantime two others had already kidnapped the Daughter and taken her to a place, a jungle in the vicinity.
The following day when people came to read horoscopes they were told to go back and come on some other day. The daughter was brought home on the 21st early morning. It is reported reliably that the kidnappers had handed over the Daughter to the Mother and had escaped with the Rs 20 lacks , she withdrew from the bank.
In the same morning the Mother and Daughter had gone to the Mirigama Police station and after relating the episode had made an entry in the Police Station. The Police had taken immediate action with the aid of secret telephones and via efficient investigations were able to locate the main suspect together along with the kidnappers.
The main suspect had been arrested at Ahangama. It is learnt that from the ransom of Rs 20 lacks they had purchased two motor cycles and other valuable items. They had spent a lot of money on liquor and on prostitutes. It was revealed and proved from well informed sources.
It was revealed by the Police that the main suspect had been a very notorious and a wanted person for several robberies, undetected crimes and prostitution.
