WOMAN FOUND DEAD AT RENUKA HOTEL

Facts of the Murder Unearthed

A dead body of a female was found at Kollupitiya Renuka hotel yesterday. . It was reported that this lady who had been a Tamil had stayed at Room number 01 in the 1st floor and she had been killed by injuring the neck with a sharp instrument.
The police officers who conducted the investigations on this case had been able to reveal a lot of details about this murder.The 48 year old Kanasabage Sudarshani Sahila, had got engaged for the second time on the 19th of last month. She who had got engaged to a Tamil resident at Kollupitiya, had come to hotel Renuka to spend the honeymoon.
They have booked the hotel for 9 days and the murder had taken place on the 6th day which was the 25 of February. The groom who had killed her after injuring her neck with a sharp instrument had left the hotel on the 25th and his departure had been recorded on the hotel security cameras.
 Since they have displayed the board “Do Not Disturb Us” on the door, none of the workers had entered the room to clean it. When the foul smell had emanated out of the room, the workers had opened the door with the duplicate key and had found the dead body with injuries on the neck which had been wrapped in a bed sheet. The hotel staff had called Kollupitiya Police station and the Police had revealed more details about this lady by following her address.
It was revealed that she had lived in England for a long time and she has had two children from her first marriage. She had come to Sri Lanka after her divorce and the second marriage had been arranged after a proposal.
The groom had proposed to spend their honey moon at Renuka hotel and the reason as to why he cut her neck and killed her is still a mystery. Her jewelry had been safe at the hotel room and it proves that the groom did not have the intention of stealing her money or jewelry.
The police had found details about this murderer and they are carrying out investigations to catch him fast. It is reported that she had been killed between 23rd and 28th and the hotel staff had opened the door since they have suspected because no one had come out of the room for a long time and then they have suspected of something out of the ordinary
.
It is reported that there had been another person who had shared the room with this lady and it is suspected that he has had a definite connection with this murder.It is been found that this lady had lived in Britain over the past few years and she had come to Sri Lanka few weeks ago..Kollupitiya Police is carrying out further investigations on this murder case.
