TELE DRAMA ACTOR GAMINI JAYALATH –THE NEW EDITOR
The new editor for Dinamina has been appointed. He has held a position of Manager in the editing section. He has acted in Dandubasnamaya and Grahaniya Tele-dramas. He had also acted in the film Agnidanaya and is also a film actor. He had been associated with the lake House for 18 years. It is learnt that he too had got entangled in a clash with another editor at the Dinamina section. It had not been a huge one, which had been settled amicably as it minor argument was revealed by the new Editor Gamini Jayalath. Prior to working in the Dinamina he had worked for the Dinakara newspaper.
Veteran journalist resigns from his Editor’s post:
Following an argument with the Management and Administrative officers of the Lake House, Mahinda Abeysundera , Editor-Dinamina paper has been removed from his post, but had been appointed as an ‘advisor’ in the same institution.
After having a heated argument with the Management he has submitted his letter of resignation. Although a new editor is yet to be appointed, one of the Sub-Editor’s Ranjan Amararatna has been appointed on a temporary basis until a permanent Editor is chosen.
Mahinda Abeysundara had confessed at a Rupavahini interview recently that
the Dinamina paper is biased and its contents are all favouring the Government. It is simply a paper which goes ‘Kade’ to the Government and he had adhered to its principles very well.In the brief programme “Vimasuma” an ITN programme Mahinda Abeysundara had been writing the script and there had been certain developments about some views which had erupted to a heated argument.
In addition to the Post of Editor-Dinamina, Mahinda Abeysundara had worked for the President as an ‘advisor’. He had completed 50 years of service to the Lake house and had been felicitated recently by organising a ceremony along with is a web site too had been launched.
