Death of Female Camel with two humps on the back at the Zoological gardens is suspicious?
A rare species of a Camel with two ‘humps’ on her back had lived
with her male counterpart at the Dehiwala Zoological gardens has
died and the death is of some concern arousing suspicion among the
authorities. The death of this female Camel ‘Rosy’ had occurred last
Saturday.
This death has aroused a lot of criticism and is learnt to have caused
some suspicion. These are according to reports received from the
Authorities from the Zoological gardens.
It is learnt that the Camel had been interchanged with one of our
animals from Russia. This had caused the male Camel to be left alone
in the lurch. It is learnt that a huge sum of money had been spent
on trying every endeavour to have the female species conceived to
obtain an off spring. However there had been no evidence of such a
occurrence.
Investigations are been carried out the cause of death, which was
due to giving medicine for conception or whether it was a natural
death.
