The island's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rankers according to this year's AL results

According to this year's Advanced Level results, the majority of students admitted to universities are girls, with only the Biology stream showing a higher percentage of boys gaining university admission, the Commissioner of Examinations said. The Commissioner of Examinations further stated that there was a significant decrease in the number of students appearing for the Arts stream in this year's Advanced Level examination, with the percentage being 32.03%.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Examinations also stated that there is an increased inclination among students towards subjects such as Biology, Physics, Bio-systems Technology, and other subjects, as well as Information Technology. Accordingly, the students who secured the first, second, and third places in each subject stream island-wide this year are listed below.
