BOGUS DOCTOR AT DE SOYSA HOSPITAL NABBED

Attempts of an illegal husband, who acted as a doctor, sporting a stethoscope around his neck in order to get a birth certificate of a newly born child by inserting his name as the Father of the newly born baby foiled.

An illegal husband of a woman who had entered De Soysa maternity Hospital for her confinement had acted in a role of a dubious and bogus doctor wearing a stethoscope around his neck was first suspected, then nabbed and arrested by the Police the other day.
He had done this act as his mistress had been expecting to deliver a baby at De Soysa Hospital and he had made this shrewd attempt to give his name as the father of the newly born baby’s birth certificate. He had thought that the hospital staff would help him to get his motive successful as he was a Doctor.
It is reported that this particular bogus person is a resident of Kelaniya and his mistress is a resident at Magazine Road,  Borella. He had tried to use his name as the newly born baby’s father for the birth certificate by exploiting and influencing the staff members by acting as a Doctor. Since he hadn’t produced a Marriage Certificate the hospital staff who had acted appropriately, according to the laid down rules and regulations his attempt was foiled.They have had confrontations with him and as the only alternative had called the Police since they have suspected him to be a bogus and a dubious person who had acted as a Doctor.
Accordingly, the police had arrived and found out that he is not a Doctor by profession, but had pretended to behave as a dubious Doctor.It is reported that this person has told the hospital staff that he had come to the hospital as his wife is expecting a baby and he had even tried to enter the labour room. But the hospital staff had not allowed him to enter the labour room. It has been revealed that there were two other women with this doctor, one who were in the ages of about 50 years old and the other about 20 years. As they have behaved in a peculiar and suspicious manner within the hospital premises had arose further suspicion of the authorities of the De Soysa Maternity Hospital.
It is reported that the legal husband of the pregnant woman has got to know the truth of the case from the Police. The woman who delivered the baby is now faced with an awkward and embarrassing situation.
