A dead body of a nude girl wrapped around in a net found floating in a tank of foul water.
A nude dead body of a girl wrapped and sealed in a plastic net material was found floating in a tank of foul water in Banadarapola, Matale. When this dead body was found the villagers have tried to open the net. Yet their attempt had not been proved futile. It is suspected that some object had been utilized and used to make the body heavy so that it won’t float on the water but would be sunken. The body had been tied tightly to the net.
However due to some reason the body had slipped out and had been floating on the water. It was reported that the body is of a girl between 20-25 years of age and that she was in a nude state. It is suspected that she May have been raped and killed. The Matale Police criminal Investigation Unit is conducting further investigations in regard to this case.
