A FISHERMAN DIES IN CHILAW

A fisherman has died with gunshot injuries in Chilaw
 The Shooter has not been identified.
The protest against the fuel hike was had taken a severe phase. Fishermen protested saying that they do not need any subsidies and what they really needed is a reduction of the fuel prices at the earlier price.
This protest has taken place over several hours blocking the roads in the town and it is reported that the police has used tear gas to disperse the protestors. It is reported that there had been a severe clash between the Police and the fisherman folks and in between a fisherman had died by a gunfire injury, while many have been injured.
However, the Police Media spokesperson had mentioned that is not any shooting that had been reported and that he is unaware and doesn’t know as to how the fisherman was shot dead.
