JVP’s Double invitations for separate commemoration ceremonies.
To commemorate the dead who scarified their precious lives on behalf of the JVP, the parties’ living stalwarts annually organise a commemoration ceremony in their memory termed, “ILL MAHA VIRU SEMURAMA” by those pioneer living members.
The newly formed new faction instead of joining with them had organised a separate similar commemoration ceremony also termed as “ILL MAHA VIRU SEMARUMA” to display their solidarity and strength to be held at two separate venues. The former ceremony would be under the leadership of the Leader Somawansa Amarasinghe is to be held at the Vihara Devi Park while the latter at the Sugathadasa Stadium.
From the pictures shown below show the posters of the Somawasana faction already pasted to display to make aware of their supporters of this annual commemoration ceremony to their supporters at the venue. In the same vicinity, the opposing faction had displayed their posters alongside to make their supporters also to know that a similar commemoration is to be held the Sugathadasa Stadium for them to attend to attend their event.
