FILM PRODUCER THREATENED

Threat to the producer of “Ethumai-Methumai’film

Upul Jayasinghe, the ‘Nilwala’ Tele drama and Film producer had been threatened with death threats, presumably by two underworld criminals. The incident had been complained to the Mirihana Police station.
Upula Jayasinghe on his way home had stopped his jeep near the Pannipitiya-Thalawathugoda Road in order to read a newspaper article, when two gangsters like persons had approached him and questioned him at length about his new film ‘Ethumai-Methumai’, where Anarkali Akarsha is also in the cast. They questioned him that the theme of the film is about the scene at Kolonnawa.
He denied that it was not about it. The producer Upul Jayasinghe was made to frighten and the two underworld like persons who had followed him all the way up to his residence at Kottawa.This was also revealed to the Mihihana police when the complaint was made.
