DUMINDA SILVA MUST BE ARRESTED-COURT ORDERS

Take Duminda Silva into custody Court orders

When the slain Bharatha Premachandra’s case was taken up today at the Colombo Magistrate court’s, during the hearing the Magistrate  ordered that all suspects should be taken into custody. The CID personnel had disclosed the manes of all suspects. ASP Shani Abeysekera revealed that against there is no sufficient evidence to prove that M.P Duminda Silva is not a suspect.
However according to the available evidence the Colombo’s Additional Magistrate Prasanna Alwis had said that there is sufficient evidence to prove the Duminda Silva is also a suspect in this case and that he should be arrested and brought to courts. That Additional Magistrate said that this only a court order but not an open warrant.
When the case was initially taken over for hearing those who were named as suspects never came forward to courts to give evidence. This was a case of bringing disrepute to Magistrate courts. When the CID officers came for the next hearing this ruling was taken at that instance.
