TRUE AUSSIE STYLE GENEROSITY SHOWN IN GALLE

Two youths rewarded for robbing “Aussie Nationals” digital video camera

A millionaire businessman, an ardent cricket fan had come to Sri Lanka exclusively to watch the Test cricket between Australia and Sri Lanka. He had been to Galle to watch the ongoing first Test between the two countries. He had been watching the cricket and also had taken video pictures of the proceedings from his digital video camera.
He was in the habit of leaving his digital video camera on a nearby chair when he needed a rest. On observing this two youngsters had stolen his digital camera and had started to run. The Aussie National too had given chase along with Police personnel and apprehended the two suspects along with the camera and had taken them to the Police station.
When the investigations were about to commence the “Aussie National” had declined to have an investigation and had told the Police authorities that he needs no investigation and decided to gift the digital video camera to the two youngsters who robbed it and after which, all of them had returned to the Test venue to watch the match.
The two youngsters just could not believe the generosity and the decision of the ‘Aussie’. Their faces had become red through sheer embarrassment.
