A cake was cut and served among players and officials to celebrate Sanga’s 100th Test:The 3rd and Final Test between Sri Lanka and Australia commenced at the SSC grounds today. This Test marks the 100th Test appearance of the former Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara.
Before the commencement of the Test, all players and officials were served with pieces of cake cut by Sankakkara to celebrate the occasion.
Sangakkara who won two awards in the ICC 2011 awards ceremony last week is the 5th Sri Lankan Test player to achieve this land mark. The others who had previously achieved this feat were Muralidharan (133), Mahela (122) ,Vaas (111) and Sanath (110).
