INDIA SAYS NO TO SLPL T20

India has declined to participate in SLPL T20
Now India looks at our matters from a completely different angle. India is against our organising the  SLPL T20.The Board Of Control for Cricket in India has held a press conference yesterday the 18th.At the press briefing it had been unanimously decided not to grant permission to the Indian cricketers to participate in the SLPL T 20 due to be held in Sri Lanka from July 19th.
Many Sri Lanka cricketers had willingly participated in the IPL held recently and in the earlier seasons. It is their view that having a similar T 20 in Sri Lanka would bring disrepute to them, the critics have disclosed. During the press conference, the authorities had said that 32 of their ‘cream’ would be busy as 16 are due to tour England and the rest have been scheduled to tour Australia to gain more exposure as a second string team. Hence they will not allow anyone to participate in the SLPL. However according to reliable internal reports there would be no first class cricket played in India during this period and promising and talented cricketers from the states could participate in the SLPL.
The World’s cricket now revolves around in India, perhaps as the Chairman of the ICC is an Indian. The entire cricketing infrastructure is under the purview of the BCCI. There have been comments made that the Indian cricket has been taken to an abyss. A famous Indian cricketer has remarked to the media that the SLPL T 20 is organised to challenge the established IPL and to make it to be a more successful tournament.
The initial letter published in the ‘Gossiplanka news’ website in regard to the proposed SLPL T 20 is appended HERE
