It has been revealed that 36-year-old actress Hayden's death was due to accidental poisoning.

Medical examinations have confirmed that the death of 36-year-old actress Hayden Panettiere, who gained popularity through the well-known American TV series 'Heroes' and 'Nashville', was an accidental drug toxicity caused by the ingestion of several drugs and narcotics. Citing a report released by the Greenville County Coroner's Office in South Carolina, the New York Times stated that her death, which occurred last August, was caused by a combination of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, anti-anxiety medications, and muscle relaxants.

During the autopsy and toxicology tests, fentanyl, 4-ANPP, alprazolam, methocarbamol, and quetiapine were identified in her body. Here, alprazolam is the generic version of the popular anti-anxiety medication 'Xanax', and methocarbamol is the muscle relaxant 'Robaxin'. Furthermore, quetiapine is a medication prescribed for bipolar disorder and depression, and doctors concluded that the toxic effects of all these compounds directly contributed to her death.

Various suspicions arose with reports that Panettiere's boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, who had a history of domestic violence, was also present at the scene when she died. However, the autopsy report did not reveal any physical harm or criminal involvement that could have influenced her death.

Panettiere publicly revealed Hickerson's violent behavior when she appeared on 'Good Morning America' in 2020, and she also described the abuses she suffered from him in her autobiography 'This Is Me: Reckoning', published in May of this year. Hickerson faced seven charges, including assaulting his girlfriend and threatening witnesses, and after being found guilty of two of those charges, he was granted probation.

Various theories circulated online due to her death occurring approximately three months after she revealed in her book about drug use among child actors in Hollywood, sexual abuse by a prominent actor, and sexual bribery allegations. In a statement regarding this, Panettiere's representatives stated that individuals not close to the deceased are using this death for baseless rumors without proper knowledge, and if credible information exists, authorities should be informed instead of spreading theories via social media.

Panettiere, who gained a prominent name in the industry through her role as Claire Bennet, a cheerleader with regenerative abilities in the superhero TV series 'Heroes', later achieved great popularity with her role as Juliette Barnes, a country music star in the 'Nashville' drama series. Her name and image also became widely known in South Korea through the 'Heroes' TV series, which was broadcast on South Korean television channels in 2007.
