Negombo Prison tense again - 25 injured

 

The number of people injured in the renewed unrest at Negombo Prison has further increased.

It is reported that the number of people injured in the latest incident has reached nearly 20.

It is also stated that steps are currently being taken to admit the injured to Negombo Hospital.

It is also reported that prison officers are among the injured.

Meanwhile, police have also fired several shots to control the situation.
