Criticism over Sai Pallavi, who cannot speak Hindi, being cast as Sita in Ramayana

Popular actress Sai Pallavi, who has been selected for the role of Sita in Nitesh Tiwari's massive cinematic creation 'Ramayana', is currently facing severe criticism and sarcastic attacks on social media. The main reason for this controversy is her open declaration during the promotional activities for her film 'Ek Din' that she is not very familiar with the Hindi language.

Although she stated this very humbly and with a smiling face while addressing journalists at an event called 'Ek Din Ki Mehfil' in Mumbai, critics have weaponized the video against her since its public release.

Many people express their dissatisfaction, stating that it is inappropriate to choose an actress who struggles to speak even basic Hindi words for such an important and sacred role as Sita. Some viewers point out that Nitesh Tiwari's choice is wrong and that an actress fluent in Hindi should have been cast instead. The suspicion that Sai Pallavi might need someone else's assistance, or a dubbing artist, to deliver her dialogues is also being widely discussed among social media users.

In addition to the Hindi language issue, some parties also accuse her of being completely incompatible with lead actor Ranbir Kapoor. Critics say that although Sai Pallavi is a talented actress, her appearance is not suitable for the role of Sita, and an actress like Mrunal Thakur would be more appropriate. Many question such a choice when there are plenty of talented actresses in Bollywood cinema.

However, Sai Pallavi's fans are strongly responding to these criticisms, stating that acting talent and language knowledge are two different things. They point out that it is unfair to attack only Sai Pallavi when actresses like Katrina Kaif and Jacqueline Fernandez have remained in Bollywood cinema for years without being fluent in Hindi. Film enthusiasts say that just as singers sing songs in unfamiliar languages, talented actors have the ability to memorize and correctly deliver their dialogues, and not being able to handle a language in an interview does not hinder acting.

Despite these controversies, there is currently high interest in the film 'Ek Din', which marks Sai Pallavi's Bollywood debut. Produced by Aamir Khan, Junaid Khan plays the lead role in this film, which is an official remake of the 2016 Thai film 'One Day'. Directed by Sunil Pandey, this cinematic creation is scheduled to be released worldwide on May 1st.
