Mr. Ransara Dhananjaya Withana has passed away. He was the beloved only son of Mr. Shantha Kumara Withana (Shakuvi), a senior journalist at Lankadeepa newspaper, and Mrs. Chandi Kodikara, a popular novelist.
A brilliant alumnus of Gampaha Bandaranaike College, he was also known as a talented cricketer. Mr. Ransara Dhananjaya Withana, who was married, was twenty-nine years old at the time of his death. He had been ill for a short period.
His remains are currently placed at his residence on Withana Mawatha, Orutota, Gampaha, and the final rites are scheduled to be held tomorrow (11).
