Father who abused his eldest daughter and had a child with her, also abused his younger daughter and is in police custody.

An extremely shocking incident has been reported from the Naula area, which falls under the Koslanda Police Division, where a father, who allegedly subjected his 14-year-old younger daughter to severe sexual abuse, was arrested by the police on the 17th.

Police investigations have revealed that the suspect had previously sexually abused his elder daughter as well, resulting in her giving birth to a child. DNA test reports have already confirmed that the suspect himself is the biological father of that child.

While a case regarding the crime committed against the elder daughter is currently being heard before the High Court, the suspect father took advantage of an occasion when his wife was not at home and severely sexually abused his 14-year-old second daughter.

After the girl revealed the details of the incident she faced to her mother, the mother lodged a complaint with the police. Accordingly, a team of police officers, including Koslanda Police Station OIC Mr. Osanda Chinthaka Subasinghe, acted immediately and arrested the suspect.

The abused girl has currently been admitted to the Koslanda Divisional Hospital for necessary medical examinations. The police further stated that the arrested suspect is scheduled to be produced before the Bandarawela Magistrate's Court.
