Israel has launched a new series of massive attacks targeting Tehran's Mehrabad Airport in Iran, with the aim of destroying "regime infrastructure." In response, Iran is also launching ballistic missile and drone attacks on Israel.

Eyewitnesses report that aircraft at Mehrabad Airport, Iran's busiest and main domestic aviation hub, are on fire, with large flames and plumes of smoke rising into the sky. Internet connections around the area have already been disrupted, and windows in the Ekbatan housing complex near the airport have been shattered due to powerful explosions. It is reported that residents of Tehran, terrified by these horrific attacks for the second consecutive day, are seeking shelter in underground parking garages.

Built in 1938, this airport also serves as the headquarters for several aerospace companies linked to Iran's defense industry. The Israeli military stated that on March 4th, they attacked this facility, destroying defense and identification systems that posed a threat to the Israeli Air Force, as well as the helicopter manufacturing division. They had also targeted this location in June last year, coinciding with an attack on Iranian nuclear facilities.

Meanwhile, due to missile attacks launched by Iran during the night on the cities of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv in Israel, air raid sirens have been activated in those areas. Messages have been sent to Israeli citizens' mobile phones urging them to immediately move to safe places, and the Israeli military states that the majority of incoming missiles and drones were successfully destroyed by their air defense systems.

Amidst the ongoing conflict and speculation that Israel's reserves of bombs and anti-missile systems are depleting, the US State Department has decided to expedite the sale of over $150 million (112 million pounds) worth of weaponry, including more than 12,000 bombs, to its ally Israel.

Amidst the ongoing military situation in the Middle East, the Saudi Ministry of Defense announced via social media that it successfully destroyed six drones that approached the Shaybah oil field, owned by Saudi Aramco (producing one million barrels of oil per day) in Saudi Arabia's southern 'Empty Quarter' desert, and a ballistic missile targeting the Prince Sultan Air Base. This Prince Sultan Air Base was also used by the US Air Force last February for preparations for attacks against Iran.
