The turtle is mine, not Ping Pong's - Ajith Naragala

Ajith Naragala, the chief organizer of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Kottawa electorate, states that the news circulating about actor Rajitha Hiran (Ping Pong) being appointed as the organizer for the SLPP Kottawa electorate is completely false. Yesterday, as this news spread, various jokes and ridicule against the Pohottu party appeared on social media, while Rajitha Hiran remained silent without saying anything.

However, Mr. Ajith Naragala, who was also a candidate in the last election, clarifies the matter as follows: 

"On the 29th, the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Kottawa office (Lotus office) was opened under the patronage of the party's General Secretary, former Member of Parliament, Attorney Sagala Kariyawasam. Many politicians, artists, and scholars attended this ceremony. During this event, I observed a photograph circulating on social media, which was taken when Mr. Rajitha Hiran (Ping Pong), like other artists, was signing the guest book.

Furthermore, I observed a false news report circulating there, stating that Mr. Rajitha Hiran (Ping Pong) had been appointed as the Kottawa electorate organizer. This is a completely fake, false news report. I am Ajith Naragala, the chief organizer of the Kottawa electorate. I am extremely saddened by the publication of such fake news, and I see this as a low attempt to discourage artists and popular individuals who are joining and strengthening the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna."

After the news of Ping Pong receiving a position was published, many pointed out that the people gathered around the leadership of the Pohottu political party are individuals with similar ideas and similar behaviors. Just as birds of the same feather flock together, the public accused everyone, from the leadership to the surrounding assistants, of being a group of equally uneducated and comical individuals.

Comparing the past status of this political party with its current fallen state, many have commented that the party has now become a stage for comedians. Social media users are also severely questioning the past actions of the individuals who received these appointments. Recalling controversial issues from the past, such as incidents of egg theft and receiving military salaries,

 There has been strong opposition to bringing such individuals into the political arena. Some critics point out that it is regrettable that there is a segment of voters in the country who believe such characters are suitable for politics, and that this is a serious flaw in the country's education system. These comments imply that the leadership's decision-making ability is also challenged by the gathering of uneducated individuals around the party.

Some groups heavily ridicule this political alliance, calling it a "madhouse," while others ironically state that it is a perfect combination for future presidential dreams. However, a small number of critics of the current government's actions point out that, given the country's current situation, a context has been created where anyone can get a political opportunity.
