Young Man Arrested for Double Murder

 A report has emerged of two individuals being murdered and another woman seriously injured in the Navakkadu area, which falls under the Norochcholai Police Division, following an attack with a sharp weapon. Initial police investigations have revealed that this crime occurred due to a personal dispute escalating.

The attack took place last night, December 03, and a male and two females who sustained serious injuries in the assault were admitted to Puttalam Base Hospital for treatment. Following their hospitalization, the male individual and one of the women, who were receiving treatment, succumbed to their injuries.

According to the police, those who lost their lives were a 38-year-old male and a 35-year-old female, both residents of the Navakkadu area. The other woman injured in the incident is still receiving treatment at the hospital.

A 23-year-old youth has been arrested by the police on suspicion of involvement in this double murder. The suspect, also a resident of the Navakkadu area, is currently receiving treatment at Puttalam Hospital under police guard, while Norochcholai Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
