
The Department of Examinations yesterday (10) released the revised new timetable for the remaining subjects of the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination, which was suspended due to adverse weather conditions. According to the new schedule, the Home Economics subject will be held on the morning of January 12, and the first paper of the Information and Communication Technology subject will be held in the afternoon.
On the morning of January 13, Accounting, Arabic, and Chinese languages will be held, while in the afternoon, Sri Lankan History and Malay language subjects will take place. On the morning of January 14, the second paper of the Information and Communication Technology subject will be held, and in the afternoon, Hindi and Korean language subjects are scheduled.
On the morning of January 16, Mathematics Paper I, Further Mathematics Paper I, Greek and Roman Civilization, Russian, and Japanese Language Paper I examinations will be held, while in the afternoon, Geography Paper I will take place. On the morning of January 17, Mathematics Paper II, Russian, and Japanese Language Paper II will be held, and in the afternoon, Geography Paper II is scheduled.
On the morning of January 19, Hindi Paper II and Korean Language Paper II will be held, and in the afternoon, Communication and Media Studies Paper I will take place. The Department of Examinations announced that on January 20, the final day of the examination, Further Mathematics Paper II and Greek and Roman Civilization Paper II will be held in the morning, and Communication and Media Studies Paper II will be held in the afternoon.
School applicants unable to reach their designated examination centers due to the prevailing disaster situation must immediately inform their respective principals, who in turn should notify the Zonal Director of Education and the Commissioner General of Examinations. Furthermore, the Department of Examinations further states that private applicants affected by the disaster who face difficulties reaching their designated examination centers can make inquiries via the Department of Examinations' 1911 hotline or by calling 011 2784537, 011 278 6616, and 011 278 4208.
