MP Ashoka Ranwala Hospitalized After Car Accident

 A road accident occurred yesterday (11) afternoon when a jeep carrying Mr. Ashoka Ranwala, a former Speaker and current Member of Parliament, collided with a car. Police confirm that the accident took place around 7:45 PM in the Denimalla area of Sapugaskanda.

The accident occurred when the vehicle carrying the MP and the car collided head-on. At the time of the accident, a woman and a small child were traveling in the car. The injured woman was admitted to Kiribathgoda Hospital for treatment, while the small child was admitted to Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children in Colombo.

Furthermore, Member of Parliament Ashoka Ranwala, who was traveling in the jeep, also sustained injuries in the accident and has been admitted to Kiribathgoda Hospital for treatment.

Police officers who arrived at the scene have taken the damaged jeep, car, and a motorcycle into police custody. Sapugaskanda Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
